Our student centred curriculum comprises three major domains as we focus our attention on the Learner.

  • Literacy
  • Numeracy
  • Integrated Studies

These three domains are the essential learning areas for all students. We also offer a broad range of specialist learning areas namely:

  • Physical Education
  • Music
  • Instrumental Music
  • Technology
  • LOTE – Japanese

We boast a range of extra-curricular activities to ensure all students have the opportunity to develop quality learning outcomes.  Students have been involved in:

  • Sporting Teams
  • Maths Tournaments
  • Optiminds Challenge
  • Choirs
  • Dramatic Performances
  • Bands
  • Wakakirri Dance Drama Teams
  • Japanese Tour Team
  • Recreation Sport
  • Surf Skills/Swimming Programs
  • Peer Mediation Training

The basis of our Outcomes-based Education Programs, centres around developing Life Long Learners and Life Long Carers.  Students are developing in the follow attributes:

  • Complex thinker
  • Creative person
  • Active investigator
  • Effective communicator
  • Participant in an interdependent world
  • Reflective and self directed learner
  • Life long carer in our curriculum offerings.

Each attribute is developed across P-7 classes in a range on ‘Contexts’ for Learning.
