At Mountain Creek we have a range of digital technologies for teachers to use to help deliver the current Australian Curriculum and prepare children for their future. Developing students’ digital literacy will ensure they become effective users of digital systems, critical consumers of information conveyed by digital systems and innovative creators of digital solutions.

Our classrooms and facilities offer contemporary learning environments enriched by the latest in technology to enhance learning and provide a gateway to the skills and knowledge required for high school.

All learning spaces throughout the school are enabled through wireless connectivity and resourced with:

  • Interactive white boards in all classrooms
  • Student laptop banks
  • Desktop computers
  • 3 x computer labs
  • Ipad banks
  • Robots

Many of these technologies, such as iPads and laptops come directly into the Wi-Fi enabled classrooms to enhance literacy and numeracy lessons. We also have three dedicated computer labs and class sets of laptops for year levels to utilise as a class.

Robotics and coding are used to teach elements of Digital Technologies from the National Curriculum, with our students having access to a range of robots and software appropriate for their development of skills and knowledge. All students from P-6 explore the following resources.

  • Lower school – Blue Bots, Dash and Dot
  • Middle school – Dash and Dot, Kodu
  • Upper school – EV3 robots, Scratch
