Mountain Creek SS is a member of ‘Coastal District 10-12 Years School Sport’.  Coastal District School Sport is the first level in the representative school sport program.  After district representation, students then have the opportunity to progress to the regional trials and then onto the state championships.

The representative school sport pathway is offered to students born in 2011 (12 yrs.), 2012 (11 yrs.) and 2013 (10 yrs.).

To be eligible to participate in this program, students must demonstrate a very high level of ability in their chosen sport.  The representative pathway is not a participation or ‘come & try’ program.  Students should be the top players in their club. (NB. Girls AFL, and boys and girl’s softball all have a different criteria due to the limited club participation).

We are collecting online expressions of interest for district trials.

The following link will take you to the “MCSS - Coastal District School Sport Expression of Interest” Survey -https://survey.qed.qld.gov.au/n/dy8hY5N

This survey is for all Term 1, Term 2 and Term 3 District Trials. Please click here to view the calendar for trial dates.

You will need to complete a new survey for each sport you wish to put in an expression of interest for. If you and your child are confident that you meet the eligibility criteria, I encourage you to complete the Survey. The Survey will close on Monday 30 January 2023.

Coastal District School Sport selection policy only allow a maximum of five (5) students from each school to attend at district trial. In the event that more than five students express their interest to attend a particular district trial, a school-based trial will be conducted to select the five most eligible school representatives.

If a school-based trial is needed to select school representatives for district trials, these trials will start on the Tuesday 31 January 2023.  School trials will be advertised to both parents and students.  Students will need to come to school prepared to trial for their respective sport on their designated trial day.

Once expressions of interest have been received and school trials (if required) held then the sport specific ‘Trial Notices’ and Paperwork will be sent home.

The district trials will start in the week commencing Monday 6 February 2023. Please check the school website for the Trial Schedule calendar.

Please do not hesitate to contact Matt Barritt mbarr34@eq.edu.au if you have any questions regarding the representative school sport program.
